On October 6th, Collab Education hosted an inspiring morning bringing together families, educators, and international school leaders to explore one essential question: What does success mean for today’s children—and how can education empower it?

The event, in collaboration with Swiss Learning, featured representatives from some of Switzerland’s leading schools, offering guests a rare opportunity to engage directly with global education experts. The discussion highlighted how Switzerland’s world-renowned education system cultivates not only academic achievement, but also emotional intelligence, adaptability, and purpose.

A Welcome Rooted in Vision

Evgenia and Valeria, founders of Collab Education, opened the discussion with their vision:

“Success looks different for every child. That means education must be hyper-personal, adaptable, and inspiring. Our shared mission as parents and educators is raising happy, healthy, and accomplished children in an increasingly fast-changing world. At Collab, that means curating the best in education worldwide to tailor each student’s journey. And amongst the best, Switzerland continues to stand out as a model of excellence—ranking among the world’s most innovative and competitive nations, while maintaining remarkable stability and quality of life.”

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Alberto Groff, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland, who warmly addressed the audience and reflected on his country’s deep educational values and its commitment to nurturing global citizens.

Mr Christophe Clivaz followed with an  introduction to Swiss Learning- the association of leading boarding schools in Switzerland that promotes educational excellence globally. Mr Clivaz shared a beautiful presentation about what makes education in Switzerland such a success, and treated the guests to a breathtaking video of Swiss schools.

Exploring the Swiss Approach

The panel, expertly moderated by Mr Clivaz, consisted of Mr Kim Kovacevic, the Academic Dean of Institut Le Rosey, and Mr Manuel Bernardo, Admissions Director of Institut auf dem Rosenberg. They addressed key educational trends worrying parents today, offering practical insights into what success looks like from their perspective:

1. Education & Success – The Swiss Way

Swiss schools combine academic rigor with balance—pairing bilingualism, global citizenship, and a deep connection to nature. Parents learned that in Switzerland, education is not just about grades, but about cultivating curiosity, independence, and joy in learning.

2. Beyond Academics

The discussion moved beyond exam scores to focus on character, resilience, and well-being. Schools described their emphasis on pastoral care, community life, and outdoor learning—helping students grow into confident, grounded young adults.

3. Motivation & Purpose

In a world where privilege can sometimes dull ambition, Swiss educators shared how they nurture internal motivation, encouraging students to pursue goals that matter to them and to see effort as a lifelong habit.

4. Preparing for a Global Future

With a multilingual curriculum and strong emphasis on internationalism, Swiss schools prepare graduates to thrive at top universities and in diverse global careers. Alumni stories highlighted adaptability, cross-cultural fluency, and leadership as defining traits.

5. AI, Innovation, and the Future of Learning

Recognising that AI is reshaping education, the panel explored how technology can enhance creativity and learning when used thoughtfully. Swiss schools are integrating AI responsibly—empowering students to become innovators rather than consumers of technology.

6. Practical Takeaways for Parents

The event closed on a warm and practical note: advice for parents to focus on experience, not just achievement. Schools encouraged families to let children explore, fail, and grow—and to consider summer camps in Switzerland as opportunities for independence, friendship, and discovery.

A Setting That Inspires

The event took place at Mosimann’s, an elegant private club in the heart of Belgravia. Known for its timeless atmosphere, impeccable service, and heritage of culinary excellence, Mosimann’s provided the perfect backdrop for meaningful dialogue.

Looking Ahead

At Collab Education, we believe that every child’s success story is unique—and that it begins with creating access to the right opportunities, mentors, and environments. Our collaboration with Swiss Learning reflects our shared belief that education should be a bridge between cultures, values, and the future. Because in the end, empowering your child’s success isn’t about following one path—it’s about giving them the confidence and tools to create their own.
